Double-dribbling its way onto the streets this Melbourne Fringe is Fanaticus, a wild and playful public collision of contemporary performance and street basketball. Working with young people from diverse communities across Melbourne, Rawcus transformed QV Square into a stadium, complete with a pop-up basketball court, DJ and half-time entertainment. Ball till you fall!
Fanaticus was co-devised and performed by the diverse youth of Melbourne, Rawcus Ensemble and MSF Sports basketball players.
Co-directed by Harriet Devlin, Nilgun Guven and Sokol Blazovski. Master of Ceremonies- Yung Phily. Sound design by Anthony Edward. Fanaticus highlights edited by Tim O’Keefe.
Fanaticus is a Rawcus Public Program project proudly supported by the City of Melbourne Arts Grant Program, the Cassandra Gantner, the Shulu Foundation and QV Melbourne. Produced by Rawcus in collaboration with MSF Sports, in association with Melbourne Fringe Festival.
